You may already know Anton, either as the man himself, or as Ace, Orange Man, Loud n Clear, Vybe Tribe or even Play on Wordz. If you have already met, then I am sure that as any of the above personas, music was never far from the conversation. For many years he has keenly documented, through candid photographs, the faces and characters of Witham and the surrounding areas. That incredible private collection of portraits, along with the developments of the past couple of years, has inspired Loud n Clear to seek new ways of building strong community ties through the power of music.
I first came across Anton in the early 80’s He was probably 15 and was dancing at the Barn in Braintree Essex circa.1989. Later on he used to make up CD compilations for me under the name Agent Orange. No matter what style of music I asked for Anton provided a Cd of great quality. Over the Years. Ive been to many functions where Anton has been providing the music and I’ve always found him to understand the crowd and what sounds to play to suit the mood. I would say I’ve not come across anyone with a knowledge of music of all style and genres.
